Welcome!

The name "Vildmarksfoto", which is Swedish for "Wilderness photography", might be a little misleading as such content constitutes only a part of what is and will be published on this site. However, around 2004 wildlife photography formed a significant part of this website (you can read more about that under About in the menu), hence the name.

This website has been kept on the back burner for a few years while I have been busy doing other things and because I have had no compelling reason to keep it updated. Besides, there seems to be no shortage of images etc on the Internet today, so I have not felt compelled to contribute to this surplus just for the sake of publishing. Since I have mostly left Academia, the expression "publish or perish" doesn't apply anymore. This explains why there is relatively little content here today. However, the site has seen a modest relaunch in 2018, and I have made sporadic additions in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. The most recent additions are listed in the table below.
