Sweden

The codename for version 19.10 of the Linux-based Ubuntu operating system was Eoan ermine ("dawn of the stoat"). Therefore it seems appropriate to show some photos of such an animal in its beautiful winter colour phase, taken the same year. The photos of this short-tailed weasel were taken on the 30^th of March, 2019, in Söråker (Timrå), well ahead of the October release.

Below are also photos of birds, a rare fungus and an uncommon (in Sweden) butterfly which happens to be the provincial insect of Medelpad, taken in 2020, 2021 and 2022. All these photos were taken near Timrå in the province of Medelpad. I do have lots of photos from other locations in Sweden, but since one has to draw a line somewhere, I've decided that the current theme will be "Nature in Timrå".
